In response to a question on www.dpreview.com's forum, I made a quick video of the speed of the Panasonic DMC-FX150.
You can download the video here.
Sorry about some of the subtitling speeds, this was a rush job to answer the question. You can always pause it to read the words.

As of the 10th October, the Photoshelter will discontinue stock photo licensing.
That's a shame. Out of the agencies I've been using, that's the one with the best user interface. Well, it was the best in my opinion for photographers anyway. I've used a number of other site/agencies and I much preferred the submission route to Photoshelter than any others.
I've just purchased a Panasonic DMC-FX150. There aren't that many in-depth reviews around yet, I'd still like to see a detailed study at www.dpreview.com or similar.
To keep you going, I've uploaded some images from the camera so we can assess image quality.

I'm still figuring out what I want from a compact camera. I'm aware I want more control over shots than the standard point-and-shoot and that I do not need a lot of the gimmicky features that come with newer consumer cameras. I can't believe I forgot to mention the lens in the previous article on the subject. D'oh!

Despite using a DSLR on a regular basis, there are still times when it's not appropriate to take one out. For instance, I don't always want to handle a camera body plus paraphernalia around with me. I miss using the simple point-and-shoot of my old Canon Ixus. That's still working, but its speed lets it down compared to today's cameras. However, having been won over by the flexibility of DSLRs, I'm going to find it hard to get back. Over the next couple of months, I'm going to have to get a new camera. read more »
