Banners and advertising

Not a Drupal issue here and to be honest, perhaps it's not an issue at all. But I can't get the Amazon banner search to show anything related to the content on this website. Maybe it'll take a day or two to work it's way through the system. We shall see.

I'm against website banners that are unrelated to what you're trying to view. I'm also against website banners and adverts that link you to stuff that the host wants you to buy because it's new or because of the commission.

I took a decision when I started this site that the only adverts should be about things I believe are worth visiting (e.g. Filmsound) or worth buying.

It hasn't *yet* worked out completely as I'd like it to. For instance, some of the Google Ads pick up on odd words. But that's all down to the algorithms. I'm happy they have the algorithms, it's now down to me to figure out how to use them properly in a way that suits the readers. It will work though, but I think I have to have some more content on the site to be able to make a better judgement of what works.
