Improving Customer Acceptance

Client Acceptance is a key issue for me across every sector I work in. A formal acceptance process can mitigate many issues to the point that problems are caught earlier and hence, projects delayed less.  read more »

Mind Map of Collaboration

I posted a long article broken into 4 parts providing 43 reasons for collaboration in musical activities. Perhaps more interesting is how I ended up with the finished article.

Slight change of focus

I've just booked in a time-consuming consultancy role for a few months, so there won't be as many updates on certain areas of this site. Here's how I see the site changing:

Introducing Sub-Processes - Fundamentals of Process Mapping

Introduction

Processes can be broken down into more detailed processes. In this article, I'll take one of the process steps from the previous article and look in more detail about how it connects to the other components of the process.

Introducing Decision Points

In the previous article, I introduced a basic process map consisting of a process start point, a process end point, two process steps and connectors.

Being freelance I get asked a lot of questions about "how to become an x". The job I'm asked about is usually just one role I'm fulfilling when I'm asked. It can range from facilitator, business analyst, process analyst, process architect, test manager, etc. For all of them, my answer is the same: learn from working with the best, reflect on your experiences and read to build up your knowledge.
